Born in Lakewood, Colorado, Quintin Smith began his musical obsession at the impressionable age of 10 when he started learning the violin through the school’s music program. A year after, Quintin’s music director gifted him an antique violin from the 1960’s which he still plays to this day.

In the first two years of college, Quintin worked as a Conductor on a railroad in southwest Colorado; later transferring to and graduating from CU Boulder with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. While working as an engineer, Quintin utilized his time off rediscovering his roots in music.

Inspired by the performances Quintin would see while roaming Denver as a teenager and again in college, he would feel inspired to write his own music. Enthralled by the emotion, fond memories, and abundance of curiosities from his time about, QURIOUS was born.

Quintin seeks his sound as he continues to search for harmony among the electronic and organic. With this in mind – along with the desire to appreciate all he’s encountered to shape his character – Quintin’s debut album “Not So Far Gone” was created.
